Attorney Profile


Attorney Scott Stensaas has a private law practice focusing primarily on real estate law, estate planning including wills, trusts and estates; and mediation.  His legal services include preparation of real estate contracts and transaction documents such as deeds and land contracts, and estate planning by means of revocable living trusts, wills, financial and health care powers of attorney.

Mr. Stensaas graduated with his Bachelors of Business Administration, with high distinction from the University of Michigan (now Ross) School of Business Administration.   He received his JD, Cum Laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.  After graduation, Scott worked for the Michigan Migrant Legal Assistance Project for four years advocating for and representing migrant farm workers in judicial and administrative proceedings.  Subsequently he worked for private law firms and served as in-house corporate counsel for buinesses, before entering his own private law practice.

Scott is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan.   Mr. Stensaas is a Qualified Civil Mediator 

Scott also serves on non-profit boards including the Friends of For-Mar Foundation, a citizen support group for the For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum, a public nature preserve operated by the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Department, and the Kearsley Manor board, a non-profit senior citizens housing development.  He is a long time member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Flint.
